Someone get me down from here!

It's official: I'm utterly and completely in love with Switzerland, in fact it's gone so far that I'm thinking about staying a bit longer. This is exactly what everyone said would happen and exactly what I thought to happen the least. My tour de Suisse on Sunday is to blame. We started early in the morning, me from Sion and my Guide from Sierre. This is the same guy I've talked about before. You know, the handsome one :D Route: Sion - Visp (change train) - Bern (a two-hour tour) - Lucerne (a stop of two hours again) - Interlaken OST(15-minute stop to change trains) - Zweisimmen (change) - Montreux (20-minute stop) - Sierre (homecoming by car)

Se on virallista: olen täysin ja totaalisesti rakastunut Sveitsiin, ja se on jopa mennyt niin pitkälle, että olen miettinyt jäämistä hieman kauemmaksi aikaa. Tästä kaikki juuri varoittelivat, että näin käy ja itse oletin viimeisenä että käy niin. Sveitsin Kierros on syypää. Lähdettiin aamulla aikasin, mie Sionista ja Oppaani Sierrestä. Tämä on se sama kaveri, josta olen puhunut aiemmin. Tiedätte vissiin, se komea :D Reitti: Sion - Visp (vaihto) - Bern (2 tunnin kierros) - Lucerne (taas kahen tunnin pysähdys) - Interlaken Ost - (15 minuutin vaihtoaika) - Zweisimmen (vaihto) - Montreux (20 minuutin tauko) - Sierre (kotiin autolla)

First stop was the capital, Bern. // Ensimmäinen pysäkki oli pääkaupunki Bern.

This is the capital at 8 a.m.! Look how dead it is! This would never happen in Helsinki downtown because all the bums have already huddled togeher. Look at the bottom left corner of the pic. There are a lot of shops underground behind the doors that you can see against the pavement on the ground. // Tämä on pääkaupunki aamukasilta. Ihan kuollutta! Tätä ei ikinä tapahtus Helsingissä, koska kaikki spurgut ovat jo kokoontuneet. Katsokaa vasempaan alakulmaan kuvassa. Maan alla on paljon liikkeitä noiden ovien takana, jotka näkyvät maassa jalkakäytävää vasten.

We also tried to see the bears, but they were not out. // Yritettiin käydä katsomassa myös karhuja, mutta ne eivät olleet ulkona.

Second stop in Lucerne. This is where my guide went to the army so he knew the place like his own pockets. First we grabbed a tiny bag of hot chestnuts, and they were actually quite good. My Guide did eat the most of it but he loved them more anyway, so all the better. Then we started our walk in the city by crossing the most famous bridge in Switzerland. In the summer it's more beautiful because it's laden with flowers on the sides.
Toinen pysähdys Lucernessa. Täällä oppaani kävi armeijan, joten tiesi paikan kuin omat taskunsa. Otettiin pieni pussi paahdettuja kastanjoita mukaan ja ne olivat itse asiassa aika hyviä. Oppaani söi suurimman osan, mutta tykkäsi niistä enemmän joka tapauksessa, joten parempi niin. Aloitimme sitten kävelymme kaupungissa ylittämällä Sveitsin kuuluisimman sillan. Kesällä se on kauniimpi, koska nuo ulkoseinät koristellaan täyteen kukilla.

The pictures just don't do any justice to what we saw. The views took my breath away several times. I was so happy to be there and it was so great I had a friend with me who knew where to go so we did not waste any time. On the background you can see the mountains you have drawn on Toblerone as well. I hope my guide will correct me if I remember incorrectly. By the way, lake + mountains + sunset is the second most beautiful thing I can imagine (after the two first and a sunrise).
Kuvat eivät tee mitään oikeutta sille, mitä näimme. Maisemat salpasivat henkeni useamman kerran. Olin niin onnellinen, että olin lähtenyt ja oli niin mahtavaa, että minulla oli mukanani ystävä, joka tiesi mihin mennä, eli aikaa ei hukattu. Taustalla näkyy sama vuoristo kuin Tobleronen kyljessä. Toivottavasti oppaani korjaa, jos muistin väärin. Muuten, järvi + vuoristo + auringonlasku on toiseksi kauneinta, mitä voin kuvitella (heti kahden ekan ja auringonnousun jälkeen).


The evening was concluded by a super fondue for which my friend paid the most :( I should have been the one paying after all he did for me. We had a little white wine on the side and I tried to learn the tricks o fondue. Luckily we were in the restaurant, because I dropped a piece of bread into the pot of cheese and my friend fished it for me :D (you have to do the dishes if you drop any). He took me home, we wished each other good night and even though I was exhausted I could not sleep for a long time, I was still so thrilled and happy and just sighs of content came out of my mouth.
Ilta päätettiin superfonduella, josta ystäväni maksoi suurimman osan :( Mun olisi pitänyt kaiken sen jälkeen, mitä oli tehnyt minun hyväkseni. Otettiin hieman valkoviiniä kylkiäiseksi ja yritin oppia fonduen kikkoja. Onneksi oltiin ravintolassa, koska tiputin yhden leipäpalan juustokattilaan ja ystäväni täytyi kalastaa se minulle :D (jos tiputtaa yhdenkin palasen, joutuu tekemään tiskit). Poika toi mut kotiin, toivotettiin hyvät yöt ja vaikka olin uuvuksissa en pystynyt nukkumaan pitkään aikaan, koska olin niin innoissani ja onnellinen ja suusta pääsi vain tyytyväisiä huokauksia.
